Forza Horizon 5 Mobile: Is There a Mobile Version and How to Play on Your Phone

If you’ve searched for “Forza Horizon 5 mobile,” you’ve probably found a mix of app listings, APK downloads and “free” versions. The reality is more complicated. This guide explains what exists, what doesn’t, and the legitimate ways to play Forza Horizon 5 on a phone or tablet.

Is There an Official Forza Horizon 5 Mobile App?

No. Forza Horizon 5 launched on November 9, 2021 for Xbox and PC, and as far as I could find there is no official native app on the App Store or Google Play, and no announced mobile release date.

That matters because many sites claim otherwise. Listings titled “Forza Horizon 5 Mobile” or “Forza Horizon 5 for Android” are typically by unrelated developers, with file sizes of around 16 MB. The real game is many gigabytes. These are not Playground Games or Xbox releases.

Why You Should Avoid “Forza Horizon 5 Mobile” APKs

  • They aren’t the real game. The file sizes and developer names don’t match an official Xbox Game Studios title.
  • Security risk. Installing APKs from unknown sources can expose your device and personal data.
  • Misleading marketing. Some pages claim the game is “free” or has a native iOS and Android version. Treat these claims with suspicion.

If a listing isn’t published by Xbox Game Studios or Playground Games, it isn’t an official Forza Horizon 5 release.

How to Play Forza Horizon 5 on Android or iPhone

You can play the real game on mobile by streaming it. The game runs on a remote machine and your phone displays the video and sends your controls.

Option 1: Xbox Cloud Gaming

Microsoft’s cloud service streams Xbox games to phones and tablets. You’ll need:

  • An Xbox Game Pass subscription tier that includes cloud gaming
  • An Android or iOS device with a stable internet connection
  • A Bluetooth controller

Forza Horizon 5 has been part of the Game Pass library, but the tier names and catalog change over time, so check your plan before subscribing. Touch controls aren’t offered for Forza, so a controller is effectively required.

Option 2: Stream From Your Own PC

If you own the PC version, you can stream it to your phone from your own computer. Steam Remote Play and similar remote-desktop tools let your phone act as the screen and controller input. You’ll need a decent PC, a strong home network and a controller.

Option 3: Other Cloud Gaming Services

Services such as NVIDIA GeForce NOW can also stream PC games to mobile, depending on whether the game is supported in your region and library. Check the service’s current game list.

What You Need for the Best Experience

  • A controller: Steering and throttle control on a touchscreen are limited, so a mobile gamepad makes a big difference.
  • A strong connection: Wi-Fi 5 GHz or a wired connection to your router gives the lowest lag.
  • A phone clamp or stand: Most mobile controllers include one.
  • Data awareness: Streaming uses a lot of data, so avoid mobile data caps.

Forza Horizon 5 on Mobile: Pros and Cons of Streaming

Pros

  • Play the real, full game rather than a clone
  • No large download on your phone
  • Play anywhere with a good connection

Cons

  • Needs a subscription or a capable PC
  • Depends on connection quality, so latency can affect driving
  • A controller is practically essential

What About Forza Horizon 6?

Forza Horizon 6, set in Japan, released on May 19, 2026 for Windows and Xbox Series X|S, with a PlayStation 5 version listed for January 2027. I didn’t find a confirmed native mobile version of that game either, so the same advice applies: be wary of unofficial apps and check Xbox’s official channels.

FAQ

Unofficial APKs carry security risks and aren’t published by the game’s developers. Avoid them.
